Parker Lake Trail From Hwy. 395, north of Mammoth, turn on the north end of the June Lake Loop road. Drive 1 ½ miles to a dirt road signed Parker Lake - Walker Lake, and go left at the junction soon after. Follow the signs for Parker Lake. Begin climbing steadily on a sandy trail along the creek, entering the Ansel Adams Wilderness after a short time. Wind through Aspen and Pine trees on a moderate trail to a junction at ½ mile. Continue straight for Parker Lake, reaching the lake shore at just under 2 miles. This is a great spot to bring the family, with manageable distance and elevation gain. The lake is hemmed in by rugged mountain ridges, and a waterfall in the distance sets the scene for a great afternoon. Ansel Adams Wilderness - Topo Mammoth High Country - 15 minute - Topo Inyo National Forest - 60 minute
